Selling from my personal collection (to include a Camel Trophy two man canoe) my P registered genuine Camel Trophy Discovery in Blue. It is still Sand-glow Yellow inside and under the bonnet.
This vehicle was built to the same spec and colour as all the 97 event Discovery vehicles, but sometime later Landrover painted this vehicle into Blue with a view to changing the colour of Camel Trophy vehicles, along with this vehicle there was a Defender 110 painted into Silver, and another Discovery painted into Red.
This vehicle is a one off and rare Camel Trophy vehicle.
The Blue Camel was fully restored with new tyres, repainted and new body decals applied plus much more but to much list around 10 yrs ago my myself.
Ideal expedition overland vehicle with a basic non computer 2.5 Diesel engine, full internal roll cage bolted to the roof rack, under body protection, front winch, snorkel (for water wading) , diff lock, Mud Terrain Tyres constant 4×4 with five speed manual gearbox
The vehicle has been motd every year, and driven to the odd LR Show and driven to the mot station and back for the last 10 years. I have lots of original photos of these cars when they were used as pre scout cars for the 97 event and a road book, this vehicle was once featured in a LR Mag The condition of the vehicle is excellent and it’s ready to show or use, the asking price includes 12m MOT on collection, fully serviced, and new cam belt fitted. Runs and drives very well, and hasn’t been used in winter roads since Sept 2003 and only used max five days per year since then
