Rhino Rack Sunseeker II vehicle Awning

The Sunseeker II Vehicle Awning from Rhino Rack is one of a glut of very similar 4×4 awnings on the market today. It follows the standard formula of rectangular sheet, two legs and guy ropes that the very popular ARB vehicle awning perfected for the 4×4 awning market. That said – it does what it does very well. The vehicle awning is available in two sizes, either 2.0m or 2.5m.

The Sunseeker Awning has a standard anodized aluminium construction and baseplate, which attaches to the vehicle, usually onto standard roof rack via the brackets supplied. The Sunseeker comes in a heavy duty PVC cover that has some nice Rhino Rack branding for those excited by that kind of thing! The outer edges are foldout aluminium poles, which makes a solid square frame. To set up. Open up the PVC cover, undo the straps, and roll everything out. Fold out the awning and the side bars, fit the side bars into the end bar. Then simply unfold the telescopic legs and adjust them to height as required. Peg out the guy ropes and you’re done. When you’re done with the awning, it all zips back neatly into its heavy-duty PVC cover on the side of the vehicle roof rack. This all follows tried and tested vehicle awning methodology, but the Sunseeker vehicle awning has a couple of tricks up its sleeve. 3 velcro tabs attach to the awning canvas and tension up, which means water run off is improved quite a bit.
